It is proven that pets are less stressed and happier while they remain in their own environment. In most cases, familiar surrounding and smells can mean much less trauma, anxiety or destruction. Pets can quickly develop anti social or aggressive behaviors when around other animals who may teach poor habits. Only you know your animal best.
Your pet is much less likely to be exposed to illness, parasites, or trauma by other animals while in its own, familiar environment. Safety is key, and we do take it personal.
No extra vaccinations required! Most boarding facilites require that all pets be current on ALL vaccinations, and some even require a vaccine for kennel cough, known as Bordetella. We only require that the Rabies vaccinations are up to date. As of January 2012, this is a state requirement. We do not require Bordetella, if there is minimal exposure to other animals (i.e. groomers, kennels, dog parks, pet stores).
In the event of an emergency, or need to leave town unexpectedly, there is no need to bother neighbors or family to tend to your home or pets. Especially if no one is going to be available in a moments notice, that is where we come in.
Your home, and your pets are often more secure while someone is frequenting the area. We ensure all lights and curtains are alternated to make your home appear lived in. Your animals will only have contact with us, as we do not hire outside persons or staff. During our visits, we tend to indoor and outdoor plants, pick up mail and newspapers daily and place the garbage and recycling out.
